A Guiding Light Win £25

Best poet wins £25 (as chosen by the editorial team)Summer is drawing to a close, days are getting shorter, nights are getting longer and darkness is prevailing, thus the time of year is approaching where many diverse faiths will be celebrating their own Festival of Lights, to remember how they have been looked after during a difficult time or a period of darkness, to celebrate victory of good over evil and hope after overcoming the worst adversity.
We'd like to invite you to write about a person or persons in your life, past or present, who have influenced you, protected you from trouble, harm and struggle, or have committed themselves to good deeds ... Someone who has been your guiding light.
