African Grave by Uche Chidozie Okorie
African Graves

In African graves lie million skulls demise
 With wisdom and
knowledge untapped
From ancestral to
renaissance compromise
 They never build the
Solomon vault they mapped.
Now I live to know the killer lord
The dark knight that
robbed the light of my people
I was forced to hide
my identity before his sword
For, so young I am; I
can’t grab his Adam’s apple.
Does it mean you should stagger around?
Suck bottle’s nipple
and play chest with fool
While the chaotic war
trumpets sound
The enemy dominates
and uses you as footstool.
Don’t slumber do what you can, be vigilant
Until I feed my
catapult stones good for that giant.
